Cornwall and Devon Countryman’s Fair

The Countryman’s Fair is held  in the glorious grounds of Werrington Park Estate near Launceston. It attracts over 8,500 people from the surrounding area of Cornwall and Devon, who come to enjoy the many country activities. The 2014 Fair was a huge success, with thousands of people enjoying a glorious rural fun day in the countryside. It proved to be a great day out for the entire family, meeting up with friends and kindred country people.

For the 2016 Countryman’s Fair, we have a highly entertaining main ring program, featuring, The Squibb Freestyle Stunt Team. The key stuntman, Jamie Squibb was British Motocross Freestyle Champion three times and has since developed his own portable ramps, enabling him and his stunt partners to bring their amazing display to you in our main ring.

You will see radical airborne motorcycle aerobatics and ground based stunts, with the biggest and best moves and tricks you are ever likely to see. The team reach dizzy heights as they launch themselves skywards to land over 30 metres away.

We also have Neil Varney an internationally recognized gundog trainer and breeder. He is the keeper of a very successful shoot in Somerset and  seven times, has been the coordinator of the Gundog Demonstration Arena at the CLA Gamefair. You will be inspired and entertained with his demonstrations.

There will be our usual array of Trade stands and rural crafts. We are very excited to include, for the first time, a Farmers’ Market and  Cookery Demonstrations by the Arundell Arms at the Countrymans’ Fair.

Plus:- Parade of hounds  –  Ferret Racing  -  A large fairground and much, much more.

We have many “HAVE A GO” activities  -  Archery  -  Clay Pigeon Shooting  -  Airguns  – Gun Dog Scurry  - Fly Fishing  -   Zorbs  – and the famous Countryman’s Dog Show.

You can bring your gun, rod and dog along for the day
