News: Cornwall and Devon Countryman’s Fair
Date: Saturday, February 04, 2012The Countryman’s Fair is held biannually in the glorious grounds of Werrington Park Estate near Launceston. It attracts over 8000 people from the surrounding area of Devon and Cornwall, who come to enjoy the many country activities. The 2010 Fair was a huge success, with thousands of people enjoying a glorious rural day out in the countryside.
If you are looking for a great day out for the entire family, or meet up with friends and kindred country people, perhaps just enjoy the main ring event, then come to the Cornwall and Devon Countryman’s Fair. This year in the main ring we have the fantastic Knights of Middle England who will perform unique entertainment from the medieval era with jousting, making the spectacle one of the finest and most colourful sports in our history.

The day will include 150 Trade stands and rural crafts - Parade of hounds – Ferret Racing - A large fair ground and much, much more.
We have many “HAVE A GO” activities - Archery - Clay Pigeon Shooting - Airguns -
Fly Fishing - Canoeing – and the famous Countryman’s Dog Show.
Bring your gun, rod and dog along for the day
